    Year 2 Healthy Bodies

Learn how food, exercise, sleep and hygiene keep our bodies healthy and strong.

    • Ages 6–8
    • 3 quests
    • Beginner → Getting stronger → Challenge

Our bodies need the right food, water, exercise, sleep and cleanliness to stay healthy. Year 2 explorers learn why each one matters and how to make healthy choices.

    What your child will learn

    • Know that humans need food, water and air to survive
    • Describe the importance of exercise, sleep and hygiene
    • Name different types of food and what they do for us
    • Make healthy food choices

    A balanced plate

Different foods do different jobs. Fruit and vegetables give vitamins, bread and rice give energy, and eggs, beans and fish help muscles grow. Eating a mix — a balanced diet — keeps us healthy. Sweets are fine as a treat, but too much sugar can harm our teeth.
